Ethiopian Airlines receives Africa’s First Boeing 777-200LR
Ethiopian Airlines received its first Boeing 777-200LR aircraft, first of five orders it placed in 2009. Ethiopian CEO Girma Wake said “With the delivery of its first 777-200LR, Ethiopian is the first airline in Africa to operate the world’s most technologically advanced and longest-range airplane,” and “This further reaffirms our commitment to be the leader of aviation in Africa.” This is Boeing’s 900th 777 delivery.
